BloomingKids Releases Android Apps for Teaching Autistic, Young, and Learning-Disabled Kids

Blooming Kids Software, which makes teaching programs for autistic, learning disabled, and young mainstream children, has begun building its programs as apps that run on Android mobile devices.

“This is a big step for us,” said the founder and CEO of BloomingKids. “The Android mobile devices are portable and can work anywhere—on a plane, in a car, in a classroom or play room, anywhere the child feels comfortable using it—and so an App loaded into an Android mobile device can be used for teaching and learning anywhere, anytime. The child does not need to sit down at a desk in front of a computer.

“Our customers have been asking for it,” said the CEO. “Android mobile devices are relatively cheap, don’t need a mouse, and become the child’s favorite toy and the teacher’s favorite tool. Now, our programs—at least, the ones that we have built as Apps—can go wherever the child goes.

“With a protective case, the Android mobile devices are hard to break,” said the CEO. “That is an important consideration when you have a device that a child will be carrying around.

“We have started with our ‘understanding currency’ programs,” the CEO went on. “They are available now at the online Apple Store. As we convert more of our programs into Apps, those will be available at the Google Play Store too.

“We have been selling our software since 2005,” said the BloomingKids founder. “Many children have benefitted from our programs, and we are pleased that we can now get the software to the children through this additional medium.”
