Writing

This program helps the student to learn to type. There are four sub-programs.

Select a program by clicking on the program name at the left of the screen and then clicking the “Enter” button to open the program.

About

Click on the “About” button to view the profile of this company.

Help

Click on the “Help” button to view the help contents. The Help file opens in a separate window. Click on the “Close” button in the Help file window to close the Help file.

Enter

Click on the “Enter” button to go to the program screen.

Exit

To close this program, click on the “Exit” button.

In this program, the student practices writing letters.

Settings

User can select one of the three options, which are:

1.Writing Letters with Help

Here the letter appears on the screen with guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Follow the arrow to write ‘A’”.

2.Writing Letters without Help

Here the letter appears on the screen without the guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Write ‘A’”.

3.Writing Letters Autoplay

Here the letter appears on the screen with guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) ” Watch. Here’s how to write ‘A’”.

Screen Display

Color

This selects the color of the letter that appears on the screen. Colors offered are Red, Green, Brown, Yellow, Blue, and Black.

Letter Order

Alphabetical

The screen prompts will call for the student to write the letters in alphabetical order.

Random

The screen prompts will call for the student to write the letters in random order.

Congratulatory Animation

This box is checked by default. When this is checked, writing the correct letter/s invites a congratulatory animation. This animation runs for ten seconds. Click anywhere on the screen or press the space bar to stop the congratulatory animation.

Uncheck the box if the student doesn’t need congratulatory animation.

Letter Type

Big Letter

This option is selected by default. When this is checked, all letters displayed on the screen will be big or capital letters.

Small Letter

When this is checked, all letters displayed on the screen will be small.

Select Letters

This allows the Teacher/Parent to choose a particular letter or letters for the student to practice.

Select All

Check this box to select all letters. Uncheck to deselect.

Done
Click on the “Done” button to close “Writing Letters” and return to the program.

In this program, the student practices writing words. There are ten categories, each with six words and corresponding picture.

2. Writing Words without Help
Here the word appears on the screen without guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Write ‘Chicken’”. Then when the student correctly writes “Chicken” an animated chicken appears
3. Writing Words Autoplay
Here the word appears on the screen with guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Watch. Here’s how to write ‘Chicken’”.Computer automatically writes “Chicken” and after that an animated chicken appears.

2. Drawing Shapes without Help

Here the shape appears on the screen without the guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Draw a line”.

3. Drawing Shapes Autoplay

Here the shape appears on the screen with guiding arrow and the program voice says (for instance) “Watch. Here’s how to draw a line’”.
