BloomingKids Releases Eleven More Educational Apps

In August and September, BloomingKids put out 11 more apps designed to help young and learning-disabled kids learn how to deal with US, Canadian, and Australian currency.

“Most of us count out money without even thinking about the denominations of the bills and coins we are putting out,” said the president of Blooming Kids Software. “It is a skill we develop over a lifetime. We learn to do it without paying attention. We do it an uncountable number of times every day. You and I don’t even think about it.

“These apps teach the youngsters how to add up by sight the amounts they are paying or being paid. With practice they will know the value of a pile of coins and bills without having to do the arithmetic consciously. Like the rest of us, they’ll do it without having to ponder it.

“We are introducing a life skill to the children, one that they might otherwise have trouble learning. We are making our children’s lives run a little bit more smoothly.”

The president added that the apps are available in the Apple Store at a reasonable price ($1.99 each). He also said that BloomingKids can develop special apps to meet the needs of schools and institutions.
